An incredible 600 residents from four local buildings have made the brave decision to demand better from real estate corporations who have failed to respect rent control or ensure essential repairs and building safety.
Our community hub has been supporting our neighbours through this. From organizing legal representation and meetings with the Mayor to fighting evictions and amplifying their struggle through press and solidarity actions.

Contributions go toward costs like printing leaflets, posters and banners, TTC fare support for volunteers, venue rentals for tenant meetings, hot coffee, tea and refreshments at our community hub for people coming in for advice sessions, monthly fees for texting and calling tools to help us reach people as needed, and so on.
