When the pandemic hit and food insecurity skyrocketed, Chiara helped us stay safe by making sure we had PPE, getting us access to vaccines as essential workers and helping us get emergency funding to respond to the dramatic increase in need. She works hard and really cares about this community.

For example, she helped me get a much-needed traffic light installed at Trethewey and Paulson for pedestrian safety. When we elect her as our City Councillor, I know she'll continue doing what she does best - helping people in our community.

I met Chiara in the winter of 2020 when I reached out to her about tenant organizing and how we might prevent some of our neighbours from a potential eviction. She guided and spent evenings teaching us what and how different types of tenant and mutual aid groups have organized. Her generosity and guidance led the tenants in our building to form one of the strongest tenant associations in the City during the pandemic. She continues to provide resources and opportunities to help care for the most vulnerable amongst us and champions all the different ways we come together to connect and make meaning in our lives. I cannot wait for Chiara to be our City Councillor so her boots-on-the-ground approach can help provide security, accessibility and more significant equity for all residents of Toronto.
